Sunday - Waking up, my eyes have been quite irritated and feeling puffy in the morning. I hope it subsides. After breakfast, Ronnie took Debbie and I straight up to Penukonda Hill. Getting through Penukonda was more of a hike than the actual Penukonda hill! There was a political rally in Penukonda on top of the usual Sunday market mayhem. Once we got through Penukonda itself, we travelled some roads having construction on them to near the top of the Penukonda hill, until we could not pass any further past all the construction vehicles. We found a bend in the road where we could park, then continued via foot, determined to meet the top. Arriving at the top of Penukonda Hill, we were greeted by beautiful birds and the remains of the fort which rest across the hill. A few small steps for man is a long flight for metal chickens

Tuesday, a Tuesday lasting long enough to be two Tuesday's. Joined at the airport by my amazing parents and partner to say farewell. I set off with a gifted puzzle box with a mysterious message inside from Zana in pocket to remind me of home on the flight to Bangalore with two changeovers, the first in Melbourne, Australia, the second in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Things went smoothly, and on my longest journey from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur, I met a man sitting next to me, now living in Melbourne but originally from Sri Lanka. He was a wealth of knowledge on many things around India and it's history, as well as life in general. On the flight from KL to Bangalore, my neck was made of rubber and I slept for presumably most of the flight. When arriving in Bangalore, I managed to arrive at the Guesthouse at about 1 am, of which I will be staying for the next week. Night of the Jackal

Saturday - With a meeting in the morning, we discussed out placement projects and other opportunities available here. Debbie and I then worked in the office until lunch. After lunch, Ronny, Debbie and I set off to Sanipalli Hill, with the goal of reaching the top of the hill even if we had to climb from the very base. We finally followed the entirety of the canal and found an entrance and made our way to the top of the hill, basking in the glory of the amazing view, majestic birds and colossal wind turbines. We were able to see all the water management projects that SEDS has completed all over the land and hill. On our way out of Sanipalli Hill, we saw some rabbits and a family of jackals.
