Its like potato but somehow better

Sunday -
Today, with time permitting, we had made plans to go to the national park and go on a safari. We did not have time. Augustine arrived, and as usual, we chatted. Augustine showed me how to cook jack fruit seeds. They taste delicious, similar to potato's but different, in a good way.

We then took two tuk tuks to Kammanahalli Main Road and had more delicious food with Augustine, before parting ways with Augustine.

We then wandered the streets, meeting and talking to locals. This area was apparently originally a village where Bangalore grew around it, giving the area an interesting environment and feeling. The people were very friendly, with many asking to have their photo taken. One even giving me a banana, not taking no for an answer.

I decided to go for a walk around the streets. I ended up at a small temple the size of a house, for Sudalai Madan, the gatekeeper of graveyards who bows to Shiva. The family who stayed there and looked after the temple were very friendly and very proud, however when standing underneath a roof, a stick from a tree managed to hit me on the shoulder. The man I was talking to (whos name I forgot) who got called out to talk to me as he had the best English said that the tree was 200-300 years old and that it has branches that are alive.

Once finishing exploring the temple, nature called so I started the journey home.

Udupas Veg was closed, so we ventured furthered down and had an Arabian style dinner at Cafe Nibras.
